Hello. I am Janece Moment, mama to Amira and wife to Paul. I'm surprised to find that I’m 37 years old. My ages felt appropriate and logical until my 37th. I'm not sure why that is. I have a beautiful and sweet Samoyed named Tovarisch (Russian for friend), and two cats... Freeni and Cous-cous.<br /> <br /> I live in the Pacific Northwest, and at least as I'm typing this, I don't ever see myself leaving. I love it here. Apparently it isn't for everyone, but I love living in a rain forest. I love the mountains, the trees, the greenery, the mild but present seasons, and the billowy white clouds.<br /> <br /> I'm a writer, artist, mother, wife, friend and happy to be here. Yes, Rosehaven Cottage is a real place. It's a home. It's a refuge. It's a place where creativity flourishes in its many forms: art, photography, gardening, textiles, home arts (including cooking), technology geekiness, music, and more! We share our little sanctuary with our 7 indoor kitties and 1 feral garden kitty. Our hope is that by sharing our experience of building this little haven for ourselves that it will inspire others to do the same wherever in the world they may reside. We've learned through some hard life lessons that we need to live life to the fullest and take every opportunity to look at the world with wonder and excitement.
