My life in California with Mr. Plain and our sons Mike, Robbie, and Chip.

We adopted our first child, Mike, after almost 5 years of trying to get and stay pregnant -- including 4 miscarriages. Two days before we adopted him, we found out I was pregnant with the embryo who would later be known as Robbie. Mike and Robbie are only 8 months apart!

2 years later I got pregnant with Chip, and the rest is (very messy, smelly, and loud) history. Yes, it's true, we have 3 boys who are less than 3 years apart.

This is the secret diary of the NHS Exposed Editor. Having edited the controversial yet popular website www.nhs-exposed.com for six years, her adventures are set out in a blog. NHS Exposed was voted in the 50 best website category by the Times Newspapers.

The NHS Exposed Editor is a whistleblower in the NHS. The medical profession in the UK has not managed to pay for the plane flight to Australia yet. Oz is of course the land where all species of Homo Sapien whistleblowers are quarantined for rehabilitation. The NHS feels that we should all be taught the age old proverb - silence is golden. The Department of Health has found that duck tape is now ineffective for this whistleblower and has given up in its attempts to be mean. Having failed to obtain the air ticket, the NHS Exposed Editor, the whistleblower remains marooned in England attempting to make sense of the world around her. Her two other reasons for remaining in England are great looking northern men and chocolate. These are accessories for every female whistleblower in the NHS. Oh, yes and the steel wonderbra from M and S :). The NHS Exposed Editor has a number of aims, one is to raise awareness for the lack of quality care for the public due to the long term mismanagement of the NHS. Secondly, she aims to show that despite the Shipman and Bristol Inquiries, the concerns of most medical whistleblowers go ignored.
