Hello there. I am a young, Labour Councillor for Holgate ward in the City of York. I won my seat against the national trend, from the Liberal Democrats. I am hoping to use this medium to let you know what it is like to be a new Councillor, to build a conversation between myself and residents and to encourage more people to get involved in our community. It is time that more ordinary people like me got involved in politics. I think it is time for change.
