This is a journal about me, my thoughts, and my dislike towards stupid people. I enjoy the drink, the smokes, and none of the cheeze.

Well this is the first time I have done this blogging thing....so I am going to give it a try. <br /> <br /> I have been told that this is a good way to vent our frustrations without paying an arm and a leg for counseling.<br /> <br /> I am a single parent with four kids (7-17). I was recently laid off from my job as an office administrator, due to division closing. That was 3 weeks ago. I have never been without a job, but I am now at the age where i want to do something that I have always wanted to do. I am going back to school at the age of 40. AM I CRAZY??????? I am going back for my Associates in Vet Tech. <br /> <br /> My teenagers are all for it (and then they ask if we can make it financially). Typical of teens. They are by no means spoiled, we have always been financially restricted, they know the value of a dollar. My ex has been no help at all and so we have always lived on my income, sometimes with the help of the State. <br /> <br /> But I don&#039;t want to be living off welfare, I want to go to school and have a career in something that I can enjoy doing for the next 20 years or so, and be able to support my kids and myself without having to wonder if there is enough to pay all the bills every month. <br /> <br /> We don&#039;t live beyond our means, heck I don&#039;t even have a credit card!!!! But this paycheck to paycheck thing is just plain stupid. I am buying my house, we have one old car, no cable, and we get most of our clothes from thrift stores and goodwill. But that is ok, I have good kids who get good grades and who accept people for who they are and not for what kind of house/car they have. They are not TOO emabarrased about our life, I just want to give them more. Ok so I have resorted to posting on the digitalcharity.com website, I was asking for money for school, I will be working at night to pay for the basic monthly bills, is that begging?????<br /> <br /> I see these people that are "drowning" in debt and feeling sorry for themselves about how they may lose their $300k home and 3 cars and don&#039;t know how they are going to make it through.......Come live my life or the life of millions of others who work 40-60 hours a week just to feed their families....You see people begging for money to save their $250k home, oh please, get a smalller cheaper place. <br /> <br /> Hey if anyone has $250k to drop....I know 9 or 10 families that can really use it to pay their utilities, rent , get a car for work, get better clothes, get school supplies and so on.......<br /> <br /> That is my first attempt at a blog.......I just need to vent...Thank you for reading my ranting and raving.............................................
